Why become a Friend of the Hippodrome?

For just £15 per year, you can support the infrastructure and ensure the future of one of Todmorden's greatest assets. It allows us to continue the never-ending work that needs carrying out to keep the Todmorden Hippodrome one of the largest community run theatres in the country.

To say thank you we'll give you a free copy of the History of Todmorden Hippodrome book. 

The book was written to celebrate 100 years of the Hippodrome and has 128 pages packed with colour pictures and charting the colourful history of the Hippodrome. Proudly display it at home and show people that you are a supporter of Todmorden's community run theatre.

If have already bought a book then you may prefer to have a Friend of the Hippodrome mug. It's going to be the must- have coffee table accessory of the year! Just tell us which gift you would like.

Once you have joined, one of our volunteers will deliver your book or mug.

Where does your money go?

 We are committed to being a transparent society and our concerns are always to keeping this community run theatre running. You'll be able to see the difference you make to the Hippodrome by being a Friend as the amount raised will be used to fund special projects and improvement work. 

 We'll keep in touch with you to make sure you know what we're doing with the money raised through the Friends of the Hippodrome scheme.

Recent projects include replacing auditorium seating after the floods, creating disabled access to the theatre improving the public and backstage areas of the Hippodrome.

How do you become a Friend of the Hippodrome?

Becoming a Friend of the Hippodrome costs just £1.25 a month if paid by standing order each month. This is our preferred choice as this gives us a regular monthly amount and reduces the cost of administration.

To become a Friend please complete the membership form below and someone will contact you for your standing order details.  

Alternatively you can complete a membership form and pay at the 

Tourist Information Centre in Todmorden. They can accept cash or card payments or take your standing order form. You will also be able to collect your free gift at the same time.
